Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

Most propably, the symptoms could be either due to Lumbar disc disease causing compression over the nerve root or it might be a muscle cramp.

An MRI scan of the lumbar spine will help in establishing a disc protrusion. A few biochemical investigations are also needed to rule out other causes of muscle pain.

A detailed clinical examination by a Neurophysician is needed to establish the correct diagnosis and further management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
