Hi,

Children with fever with muscle pain might be due to myositis most likely viral myositis. But, there are many other causes which can cause this. First thing to make sure is to hydrate the child well. If oral hydration is not achievable or the symptoms persist despite adequate hydration at home, the child needs to be assessed by a doctor to rule out other causes and for appropriate treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
