Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
Leg cramps at night could be caused by many medical conditions. Some possible causes may include:
-Inadequate blood supply
-Nerve compression/peripheral neuropathy
-Ionic imbalances like low calcium, low
magnesium, low potasium
-Exercising,
injury, or overuse of muscles
-Exposure to cold temperatures
-Dehydration
-Vitamin deficiency
I will suggest you see the Doctor for examination and investigations.Tests that may help identify the cause of your symptoms include: full blood count, ESR, serum electrolytes, fasting blood sugar.
Your treatment will depend on the underlying cause. In the meantime, i will advise you try the following:
*Stretch and
massage regularly
*Apply heat or cold
*Drink enough water
*Healthy/balanced diet with enough vegetables
*If pain intense, you may add a pain drug like
aceclofenac and a myorelaxant like miorel.
Hope this will you
Best regards
