Hi, thank you for posting.
A cramp is an involuntary temporary strong
muscle contraction, which may cause a
severe pain.
It is usually caused by lowered magnesium, kalium and calcium level.
It is favored by body
dehydration and sweating.
This disease is appeared in people that suffer from blood diseases, vascular diseases, thyroid or
varicose veins.
You need an exact diagnose. To do that you need the following tests:
- Glycemic test.
- Lipid test.
-
Complete blood count.
- Urine test.
- Foot doppler ultrasound, to check foot arteries.
- Thyroid hormone test (blood test that check how well the thyroid gland is working).
- Potassium and calcium test, to check the levels of potassium and calcium.
Potassium and the B complex vitamin will help you, but the dosage is determined by the results of these tests.
So I recommend you to contact your angiologist.
I hope you find this helpful.
I wish you a fast and healthy recovery.
Dr. Behar.
