Hello,
You are having neck pain from knee area to the inner thighs. You have leg cramps since in late 20s and has been increasing ever since with age. Cramps also occur at night, making you restless. Night leg cramps are likely to be related to
muscle fatigue and nerve problems.
Kidney dysfunction and diabetic
nerve damage also cause night leg cramps. Other medical conditions that cause leg cramps are sciatica, PAD,
spinal stenosis, thyroid problems, anemia, etc.
Stay adequately hydrated, take water and fluids so that body electrolyte system is well maintained. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get blood workouts, tests and investigations done to detect or rue out sciatica, developing PAD, neuropathy,
osteoarthritis, etc. Get required imaging tests, nerve conduction velocity tests, etc., done you will be treated accordingly. Avoid exercising when you’re fatigued. Take food rich in vitamin B6, B12, folic acid, minerals, etc. You can also take supplements. Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
