I was taking a water pill for a month because my legs were so swollen from being on them so much..I started to get such cramps in my legs so I stopped taking them thinking I was getting dehydrated after a month of taking the pill. However I am still getting cramps. What are the cramps from
Leg cramps may be caused by different reasons. First, try to take Magnesium as low magnesium may cause cramps. Also, some feel better with vitamin B12 supplements. Drinking plenty of water is important.
If you are not better in 2-3 weeks with the above measures you will need to see your doctor and have a thorough physical exam and some blood tests such as TSH, CBC, ERS, basic metabolic profile (fasting sugar, liver, and kidney function tests and lipids).
