General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, From your history, i assume you are aged and as such while undergoing a knee replacement, you were evaluated thoroughly for any possible age related specific problems that could interfere with intended result. However, while doing surgery.there will be events that cause either compression or unintentional damage to nerve branch and efferent blood vessels to gain accessibility and one such effect is responsible for your predicament. But be assured, this phase is only temporary as the healing process will take care of correcting this situation. May be even now ,you might be feeling less intensity of your symptoms and hence please resume mobility with more confidence which in fact will sure to hasten your recovery.
