What Causes Leg Pain After Frequent Usage Of Nerve Block Shots?
Hi, I received a set of nerve block injections in L-1, & L-2 6.2.16 then on 6.25.16 that same area of my leg that feels like it s going to explode during the injections started hurting like crazy. Am I in danger of permiant nerve damage or should i go to the hospital? Normally I would but I m on vacation with my family and don t want to force them to sit in the emergency room all day. Please help
It seems inevitable to visit hospital though I can understand the trouble it causes you usually however a pain medication specialist as well as neurosurgeon review is needed. Fresh scans and nerve conduction studies may be needed. Meanwhile if OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen are not working more potent analgesic like tramadol or gabapentin may be needed.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
