What Causes Leg Pain And Fever Along With Ear Infection In A Child?
hello my 2 year old son had a leg pain 2 days ago and fever! he could not walk at all! I had to carry him all the time! We took him to the doctor the next day and he diagnosed him with ear infection!we started the antibiotics he is doing better no fever at all he plays around, walks but when he wakes up from sleep or nap he cries and doesn t want to walk! what should we do?
After reading your post, it seems that his symptoms are due to fever-induced myalgia (muscle pain). I would suggest that you should continue with the medications advised by his treating doctor. The symptoms will subside in due course. You can give hot fomentation for symptomatic relief. Rest and increased water intake will be beneficial. If the symptoms persist, get him clinically evaluated by his doctor again.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. R.A. Singh, Emergency Medicine Specialist
