What Causes Leg Pain And Soreness In Abdomen While On Moxilin For Yeast Infection?
I was on antibiotics for 20 days for a tooth extraction. I think felt I had a yeast infection and used a one day moxillyn which caused me burning and cramping but then went away for the most part. It has been over a week since the yeast medication and I am still not feeling well. My legs ache and my lower abdomen is sore. I was wondering if I should try another dose of the yeast infection medication or if there would be another reason for my symptoms. I just don t feel myself and a little nauseous

I can understand your concern. Even if the tooth extraction was difficult and traumatic, 20 days of antibiotics is too much to take for the procedure. The usual course of antibiotics after the tooth extraction is 3-5 days and no more antibiotics are needed after that period of time. Sometimes, analgesics might be needed depending on the patient's pain tolerance and healing power.
I would advise you to stop the antibiotics at all as the tooth extraction site might have healed well by now and you do not need any antibiotics anymore. The stomach pain and nausea along with yeast infection you are experiencing are the side effects of taking too much antibiotics so as you will stop taking the medicines, the effects will wear off and the troubles you are having now will not bother you anymore. It might take 3-4 days for the drug to completely eliminate your system so you may have some effects in decreased amounts till them. You can take antacid such as Zinetac 150 mg twice a day for relief in stomach infection. The fungal infection will resolve after antibiotics will cease its action and normal helpful bacterial flora will grow in your body.
