What Causes Leg Pain While Treating An Ear Infection In An Infant?
Hi, My son is 2 years old about 1 week ago he was diagnosed with an ear infection he had fever and leg pain or his leg would just stop working out of no where. His doctor told me it was a phenomenon that happend with an infection. He doesn t complain about his ear hurting anymore or has no more fever but i would like to no how long will his leg bother him after an infection? I tried taking him off amoxillin but the pay came back. When he takes his amoxillin he never complains about leg pain. His okay but its been pass 10 days they told me to give him medicine for 10 days. Now what do i do if he cant be without medicine becuase his leg starts hurting again?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Leg pain may be caused by trauma or an infection. If an infection, other signs like swelling will not hide.I feel a leg infection is less likely. It may just be a trauma that the child can not talk to you of given his age.You may give the child an anti-inflammatory pain medication like ibumol syrup and observe. If the pain persists, you see the Doctor to reevaluate the leg.If need be, an X-ray may be requested. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
