Pediatric Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, this is actually called varicose veins and they are seen in the people who have to be in a profession where there is prolonged standing. It is progressive pressure over the vein in the standing position which leads to failure of the valves inside the vein and leads to this condition. It is progressive but the progression can be reduced by the following steps.:
1. Use a elastic stocking over both the legs when you have to be standing for long hours.
2.While sleeping keep pillow below your legs in such a way that you can see your toes.
3. Avoid smoking.
4.Meet a surgeon if you develop any ulcer in the region.
