Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
16 week old TOF baby - in last 3 weeks, not many bowel movements a day and seems quite uncomfortable - straining etc. had colic, doctor gave laxative and colic seemed to disappear but still unsettled. on ranitidine for reflux. does she have lazy bowel? and what can we do to help her?
Probably there is no relation between Tetralogy of Fallot (ToF) and altered bowel movements. Check for stool impacted or not if impacted may need an enema or manual removal. Please consult your pediatrician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
