What Causes Lethargy And Concentration Lapses In A Patient With Low Testosterone?

My69 year old husband is diabetic, high blood pressure and having treatment for Prostate Cancer Treatment for cancer is Lucrin and Bicatilmide. This has been for 5 years. He has a very large swelling on the right side of his neck, and growing larger, at least 5cm x 3cm. I am not at all convinced, that, he was told, to leave alone, due to the fact that this very hard tissue surrounds the cartoid artery. Due to the medication, and the lack of testosterone, he is very lethargic and I find that he has concentration lapses, sleeps a great deal. What should I do next..!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

CT scan or MRI of the swelling should be done after ultrasound to assess nature and depth of the swelling and if risk of carotid damage or life threatening bleeding is present, needle aspiration biopsy if possible can be attempted for tissue diagnosis but if invasive procedure isn't recommended, oncologist review for chemotherapy or radiotherapy to restrict the growth may be needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
