General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, time is one of the factors involved in your recovery. Older people may feel very weak for some time while recovering and might need an extended period of rest before they feel fully recovered. I recommend you:
Drinking plenty of water and keeping hydrated
Reducing stress and alcohol and tobacco intake
Getting plenty of sleep

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arup Majumdar, General & Family Physician
