Hi my wife is 54 and has in the past been diagnosed with lichen planus, this has cleared up on her body but lately she has been suffering with itching and a burning sensation in her ears also affecting the inner ear . After having scans and ear examinations the doctors say there is no infection , however after researching optic lichen planus we think this is what she might have, we are currently waiting for an appointment with the dermatology department at our local hospital but we have been told there are no appointments and there may be an18 week wait. Unfortunately this condition is causing my wife to have anxiety problems so we are trying to find an expert in this field where we can pay privately, so any advice you could give would be most welcome Maurice
