What Causes Lichen Planus On Feet, Calves And Ankles After Smoking Marijuana?
Hi i have been taking marijuana (weed) in the form of a joint since last november and its been almost the same time since i developed lichen planus on both my feet my calves and my ankles. They r too much to take and are rapidly spreading . I have some on my thighs but not very itchy. I have been applying tacrolimus tube locally and been taking dazil pills ( cetrizine, allegra) pills after consulting a doctor. But no luck! Please help! The pigmentation is bad and embarassing and it itches real bad.
As per my clinical experience, the Lichen planus on feet, calves and ankles after smoking Marijuana is systemic side effect of the drug content.
As the primary concern is drug induced, first of all, stop further dose consumption of smoking Marijuana and along with that: - Continue to drink plenty of liquids - Continue cetrizine tablet on twice a day basis for further 3-4 days - Cvoid smoking or use of any other recreational drugs - control of blood sugar Being in regular follow up with your doc is key to earliest recovery.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
