What Causes Light Bleeding, Cramps, Weight Loss, Fever And Nausea?

Hi, I am an 18 year old female and have been using birth control in form of the rigevidon pill for around 9 months now. Around 20 days ago me and my boyfriend decided I should take a break from the pill knowing that if taken for long periods of time it can have adverse effects on the uterus along with the fact it causes me to feel nauseous a lot of the time. The day before I stopped the pill we had intercourse and he ejaculated inside me(we have not had intercourse at all since). I am aware that the pill takes 3 days to completely leave the system so I didn t see an issue. I am now due my period and I am not experiencing any blood, instead there is brown discharge, like old blood but it is very very light. Along with this I am having period like cramps, changes in my appetite, weight loss, headaches, fevers and nausea. I am wondering if this could be pregnancy or if it is completely down to my anxiety disorder which has been very hard to cope with lately. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I would advise you to do a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. The day you had intercourse was on the next day of you stopping the pills, so I don't see the probability of pregnancy there however its would be better to confirm it than speculating. The new symptoms could be a mix of withdrawal of drugs and anxiety. You need not worry about them as they will resolve on their own in a few days time.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
