What Causes Light Bleeding From Ear While Clearing Out Wax?
i was using earbuds today and i removed them and noticed a bit of wax in them. so i went to like clear out my ear with cotton buds and noticed a little blood. ive been using my earphones on a regular basis, during studying etc. and this has never happened. it doesnt hurt at all. should i worry
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have light bleeding from ear while clearing out wax which could be secondary to trauma. There must be soft tissue ulceration while removing ear wax. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to to stop cleaning wax for the time being and give some time for soreness to heal. Use antibiotic ear drops to prevent infection accumulating there. you should avoid touching or pricking it with any sharp object. Visit ENT specialist if you experiences further bleeding or pain. Get wax removed with microscopic instrument. Maintain basic hygiene. Do not stress. You should take proper course of antibiotic and antiinflammatory medication and its symptoms will resolve in one week.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
