What Causes Light Bleeding, Spotting And Mucus For 10 Days Before Normal Periods?

I started light bleeding on the 16th it was on and off for 10 days a couple times with dark brown spotting and clear mucus with it.. and today is the day my normal period started.. My periods are pretty regular and last between 5 and 7 days no pain with any of this.. Any ideas? I m 46

Hi, I think you are having perimenopausal symptom. You may stop having periods in few months. But consult a gynecologist to rule out any vaginal infection. Hope I have answered your question.
