What Causes Light Flashes In The Vision Of Eye?

I experienced a dancing light in my left eye. It took the shape of a perfect zigag stitch done by a sewing machine. The light moved back and forth across it like a neon sign and it had a red color on one side. The experience lasted for about 30 minutes. I am leaving for an appointment and will try again later,

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your experience with a light flashes in the form of a zig zag pattern that last for 30mins I am suggesting that you are gradually developing a visual hallucination due to Intracranial tension

In view of this please check your blood pressure and do the following test

Chest x-ray
CT SCAN to rule out any brain tumor
ECG
EKG
Serum electrolytes
Fundoscopy to rule out any color blindness

Meanwhile please see a neurologist specialist with the results and for further expect assessment as well as adequate drug prescription

I hope this helps Regards
