What Causes Light Headedness, Tiredness, Dizziness And Shortness Of Breath?

I am an 18 year old girl and for the past few months I have felt very lightheaded, tired and short of breath all the time. I am also dizzy, can t stand up for more than a few minutes and sometimes it gets to the point where I feel like I am going to faint. I am sensitive to light and loud noises. I think it could be anemia, CFS or hypoglycemia but I really don t know. What should I do?

Hello,
There can be many causes of your symptoms ., some of these can be.
1.low haemoglobin
2.low blood pressure
3.low glucose level and
4.heart problem
5.endocrinological problem
I would suggest you to get C.B.C complete blood count, blood fasting glucose level, random blood sugar level and ECG done first , some time sinus tachycardia or bradycardia or other arrythmic changes in heart rate can also cause these symptoms.
Also you may need to get serum cortisol hormone level to rule out endocrinological problem.
I would recomnend to get above mentioned tests done first and get checked by a physician in person.

Hi,
The symptoms you describe are suggestive of anemia mostly. The causes of anaemia are plenty and most common in girls of reproductive age being excessive bloodless during your menstrual cycles and other being hook worm infestation. Consult a gynaecologist near by and get treated.
