What Causes Light Headedness, nausea And Head Pressure After A Head Injury?

6 months ago i hit the top of my head and it bled quite a bit for about a minute or so... following this, I had a slight concussion. one pupil was a bit larger than the other. I was light headed and dizzy for about 2 days with a headache. The symptoms went away, and I never got the injury fully checked out, yes I know that s bad. NOw, 6 monts later, I ve had some strange symtoms such as pins and needles in my fingertips as if my hands had fallen asleep and excersise heaedahces which I ve never ever had before..Recently, after a long run (8 miles) I experienced a bad headache. I took an anti inflammatory and the headache subsided, however, for the past few days following the long run I ve been light headed, nauseous, and feeling pressure through-out my head. I m quite concerned that this could be a slow bleed from my previous injury 6 months ago. I scheduled a dr s appointment for next week.

Hello,

You have nothing to worry about in terms of the blow to the head 6 months prior. There is no bleeding going on from that episode.
However, there is such a thing as an exercise induced headache or exertional headache and this is what you may be experiencing.

There are several things to check out for this type of headache such as whether you are well hydrated, not hypoglycemic, and not exceeding exercise parameters for your condition. Your doctor will help in assessing these parameters.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
