What Causes Light Menstrual Bleeding?

My menstrual flow has been fluctuating for some months- it has reduced to 3 days. There s hardly any stain on the 3rd day except some little black stain and I m really worried. I started using bromergon tablets but will it correct it if there s any abnormality?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
I suspect following following possibility for light period:
Emotional disturbance and stress,
anemia, heavy exercise or suddenly weight loss/low fat, improper diet, Poly Cystic Ovary/ovarian cyst, thyroid disorder.
I advice you do following investigations:
Hb, reproductive hormone analysis: LH, FSH, E2, Progesterone, USG scan and follicle study to rule out PCOS, TSH.
Take following advice:
Drink lots of water, high protein diet and iron and vitamin supplememts, tablet revital, sleep of 8 hour, green leafy vegetables like spinch, beat etc. and vegetable fat, avoid tea after food and take lemon juice after food that increase iron absorption.
Bromergon does not help in light period. Avoid to take it
You can evaluate your problem after consulting the gynecologist.
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
