What Causes Light Pink Fluid Discharge From Belly Button?
2 days ago i noticed a crusty ring inside my belly button when i woke up, i cleaned my belly button good with hibicleanse and a qtip and dried it. Now 2 days later and it s leaking a pink fluid and a white fluid. The first day it smelled really bad, now there is no smell but a ton of pain around my belly button and in it. Also i have had 3 surgeries where my belly button had been cut into.
Hello, Welcome to HCM. Thank you for your question.
Light pink discharge of fluid from belly button (navel) should be evaluated further by various tests.
It sounds like you may have developed a serious infection or even an abscess, ulcer or fistula (ulcerous tract through the tissue) in your navel.
As you said you also had surgery (total 3) at your belly button which could also be responsible for your abscess or fistula.
If you were my patient I would first try you on an oral antibiotic and still if it did not resolve, then I would send you for an ultrasound to see if there is an abscess or fistulous tract that has developed form your past surgery.
Kindly consult your doctor again and see what he/she says about these suggestions.
I hope you get rid of this troublesome problem soon.
Regards,
