What Causes Light Spotting For A Week Instead Of Menstruation Along With Terrible Burning Pain At The Lower Abdomen?
Hello, so two weeks ago i took a pregnancy test that came out negative but then i ended up very lightly spotting for a week and this entire week my ovary has had this horrible burning pain in it and I m so exhausted I can barely function. Whats going on? Should I go to the e.r.?
There could be a number of causes, and pregnancy is the first thing to rule-out. If this period has come at the expected time, then the pregnancy test you took two weeks ago, will not turn out positive, as it would have been too early to test.
You should take a new test now. If you are experiencing fever, signs of low blood pressure, very strong pain that is not sufficient relieved by over the counter analgesics, you should be assessed by a doctor urgently.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Martin Christian Harmsen, General & Family Physician
