General & Family Physician, Dr. Jay Patel's Response
Hi,
1) Sometimes, the residual endometrial lining (the inner flow of dead covering of the inner layer of uterus = Menstrual flow) does peel off after some delay and the act of intercourse causing contraction and excitement may loosen the scruff causing the light bleeding like flow post menstrual days.
2) Other reason is a forced process or extreme passionate act may lead to minor injury to a delicate lining of the vaginal wall. Currently it seems like nothing to be concerned about.
Advice - Please monitor the flow / secretion for 2-3 days and if it continues to flow lightly after 2 -3 days or have fever anytime. Please consult you gynecologist for further internal examination. For now, just try to reduce anxiety and try to relax.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jay Patel, General & Family Physician
