What Causes Lightheadedness And Pain In Back Of Neck?
I am a 72 year old active male and two days ago I was performing volunteer work installing a sign. Bending over in the warm sun clearing the post hole I became aware of becoming light headed. I stood and found my eyes were dim and I sat for some time to recover. I noticed a pain in the back of my neck. I eventually did recover and had my blood pressure checked later that day. 141/83, pulse 105 and 10 mins later 118/67, pulse 102.
Hello and thanks for your question. You may have not been well hydrated and had a near fainting experience. Try to drink lots of water when you are working in hot environments. You should probably see your doctor to let them know what happened. They may want to do an EKG and some blood tests.
