Hi, I have been taking good health Mg Lax 2 in the morning and 2 at night for chronic constipation. I have been taking these for about a month with great results, but lately I have been feeling quite light headed dizzy and shakes, could this be an over load of magnesium. Ingredients on bottle say: magnesium oxide 400mg, magnesium sulphate 400mg,as orbit acid 50mg, sodium chloride 5mg, pyridoxine 2mg, potassium chloride 20 mg.Thanks

Hi,

Mg lax is a laxative. It is known to cause electrolyte imbalance and this can cause weakness, dizziness and tremors. It's not advisable to take such laxative daily over a long period. Instead You can start with stool softener. Cause of constipation found, treated with help of physician. A good life style with regular exercises, nutritious permitted diet with high fiber and water intake would built up a good toilet habit.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
