What Causes Lightheadedness, Palpitations And Pressure In Chest?

I drank some coffee this morning, and about 20 minutes later I felt very lightheaded and had pressure in my chest. Then about 3 hours later I experienced some palpitations and almost blacked out, but that passed within 30 seconds. Is this an indicator of an underlying condition or just a sensitivity?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Coffee can cause palpitations especially if used in excess amounts though other causes may have to ruled out.

Palpitations can cause dizziness because they affect the blood supply to the brain.

If the symptoms return or worsen then you should consider seeing your doctor for assessment which would include physical examination and ECG.

I hope this helps
