What Causes Linear Hyper Pigmentation On The Bridge Of The Nose?
Hi,I have had this hyperpigmented horizontal line on the bridge of my nose for about 15yrs. Since i as a teenager. Its not getting worse or better. I have used sunscreens, steroidal creams all to no avail. What do you think is the cause and what can i do to get rid of it? Thanks
This is a disorder of pigmentation that develops within a few weeks of birth and progresses for one to two years before stabilizing. There is linear and whorled hyperpigmentation following the lines of Blaschko without preceding bullae or verrucous lesions. Common causes of focal hyperpigmentation include injury, inflammation, lentigines, melasma, , and acanthosis nigricans.
