I was told by phone today that I had hemangioma of the liver. I had an ultrasound last Thursday. They said it was begnin And that I would be given a repeat ultrasound in six months. Should I worryI am female 70 yrs old No smoker or alcohol abuse. I had colon resection the last week of 2014. Thank you
hemangioma in liver is not common so take second opinion.regarding malignancy it is only oncologist who can comment after examination liver hemamgioma is benign itself. it is some time called cavernous hemamgioma.they are most common in children. the are tobe surgically removed-hepatic artery ligation or by injection, the artery can be blocked. in rare cases transplantation is requered.
