What Causes Loose And Gurgling Stools While On Cipralex?
I am on cipralex here in Canada (I think it s lexapro in the states) and it s been fine. However, for the last week my bowels have become strangely gurgling and my stools are very, very loose. I am also a bit nauseous. I was wondering if I m developing a side effect. I ve been on the drug (10mg a day) since late January (now almost 4 months). Thanks! PJ
I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions. Cipralex contains escitalopram. Diarrhea, Constipation and stomach upset are in the side effect profile of this agent. Your symptoms can be attributed to it. As you have not mentioned the reason for your are consuming this medication, I can not help you with alternate option. So i advice you to see consulting doctor for further help.
Yet again, I duly appreciate your query to me, I do hope that you have found something useful to help you and I shall be glad to answer any further apprehensions.
Sincerely,
I find this answer helpful
