Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Loose Bowel Movement Along With Urination After Exercising?
I have a bowel movement first thing every morning directly after a short stretching routine. Quite often I urinate at the same time. The stool is quite loose, but quite well formed although small. I tend to empty my bowels. Sometimes, I need to go quite quickly after the exercise. nb. I have started a regular exercise routine since January, involving Yoga, pilates and swimming. Is this OK?...particularly a loose motion and urinating at the same time? Thank you
Exercises and physical activity in general can increase in bowel movements. Other factors that can help maintain healthy bowel movements include trying to have a bowel movement when you feel the urge, consistency in diet and avoiding supplements and medications that might cause constipation. So, your symptoms are completely normal.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
