What Causes Loose Bowel Movement With Green Stool?

I went to urgent care and was prescribed augmentin for a really bad sinus infection. I m also having loose bright green bowel movements. I m nauseous after I eat, even soup and then two hours later I have loose green stool. What does the green stool mean?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain green bowel movements or green stools along withnausea after taking Augmentin for sinus infection seems to be due to side effect of the antibiotic and it is a commonly seen side effect of antibiotics..

The antibiotics disrupts the good bacterial of intestine along with the harmful bacteria and the complex functioning of the intestines is disturbed leading to the following symptoms..

The symptoms are temporary and will resolve once the intake of antibiotic is stopped..
I would suggest you to take plenty of oral rehydration salts by making a solution in water to repleish the lost electrolytes and water.
You can take Loperamide to reduce loose motions..
Take plenty of yoghurt, rice, bananas, cereals etc..
