Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello my son s two years and one month old Since yesterday he had a slight fever 98.5-99.5 n from today he has passed three stools out of which two were watery his behaviour is normal no complaints of stomach ache What should I do can I give him Renifol syrup
Your son's symptoms of loose stools and fever are suggesting acute gastroenteritis. Should take:
- Plenty of fluids especially water with oral rehydration salts to keep well hydrated.
- Give Rinifol syrup as it contains lactobacillus (probiotic) and vitamins.
- Give Tasectan to stop diarrhea.
- Follow BRAT diet (banana, rice, applesauce, toast.)
If no improvement within a couple of days should consult with a pediatrician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
