Hello; two weeks back i had a bad stomach upset as i had had food outside including prawns-chicken. I had taken ofloxacin ornidazole and then rifaximin. It got solved .yesterday i had a lot of work because of which evn though i had food cooked at home but because of irrregular timing ; i got a lot of acidity. I have been observing that post lunch -my stools are loose n watery . Can acidity or buttermilk wth rocksalt or milk might hv caused it?? Do i gave Irritable bowel syndrome?
As of now you should start taking anti diarrhea medication like Loperaminde, take fluid replacement therapy that is drink plenty of oral rehydration salts by dissolving in water and take more of banana, yoghurt, rice and cereals..
In case of no resolution in next 3 to 4 days consult an Emergency room and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like blood tests and stool culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised antibiotics, Albendazole etc depending upon the cause diagnosed..
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
