Hi,

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is a medication that is commonly used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). While the loss of appetite is a common side effect of Vyvanse, shortness of breath is not a typical side effect of the medication. However, several factors may be contributing to your symptoms.

One possible explanation for your shortness of breath is that you may be experiencing anxiety as a side effect of Vyvanse. Anxiety can cause physical symptoms such as shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, and chest tightness. If you are feeling anxious or stressed while taking Vyvanse, it is important to talk to your healthcare provider about your symptoms.

Another possibility is that you may be experiencing dehydration or electrolyte imbalances due to decreased fluid intake and loss of appetite. This can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath. It is important to make sure that you are staying hydrated while taking Vyvanse by drinking plenty of water and other fluids.

Finally, your symptoms may be related to an underlying medical condition. Shortness of breath can be caused by a variety of factors, including lung or heart problems. If you are experiencing persistent or severe shortness of breath, it is important to talk to your healthcare provider about your symptoms to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment.

In summary, while loss of appetite is a common side effect of Vyvanse, shortness of breath is not a typical side effect of the medication. It is important to talk to your healthcare provider about your symptoms to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment. You may need to adjust your medication dosage, increase your fluid intake, or undergo further evaluation to identify any underlying medical conditions.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

Vyvanse (Lisdexamfetamine) is a prescription medication used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and binge eating disorder. The recommended starting dose for adults with ADHD is 30 mg once daily in the morning. However, the dosage may vary depending on individual response and tolerance.

It's essential to take Vyvanse as prescribed by your doctor and not to adjust the dosage or frequency of use without consulting with them. Also, follow the medication instructions carefully, and don't crush, chew, or break the capsule, as this may affect its effectiveness.

It's also essential to inform your doctor if you experience any side effects or unusual symptoms while taking Vyvanse, such as headaches, loss of appetite, stomach pain, nausea, insomnia, anxiety, or irritability. Your doctor may adjust the dosage or suggest alternative treatments if necessary.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
