What Causes Loss Of Appetite And Vomiting In An Alcohol Addict?

Hi. Iv been drinking for a while now and iv lost my appetite for eating. Today I tried to eat but was sick. As I vomited there was a little blood in it. I did bring much food up. After vomiting I wrenched my throat through heaving. And have now got a blood shot eye. I m not going to drink for a while. When I go to the toilet I wipe yellow from back passage. If I stop drinking now will this get better?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of loss of appetite and vomiting in an alcohol addict . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like allergic reaction, acid reflux, constipation, food poisoning, H. Pylori infection and hay fever.

I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe omeprazole , laxative , antiemetic drug and antibiotics . Doctor may also refer you to allergy specialist . For now take antihistamine like zyrtec and avoid food which can cause gal and allergy like nuts and cabbage.

You should avoid intake of outside food. You should take soft and bland food and avoid sharp and spicy food substances. Drink plenty of fluids to keep your self hydrated and take probiotics food like yogurt .
