What Causes Loss Of Appetite In A Toddler?

Hi Doctor, My Son is 2.5 years old.Having bad cough since 2 weeks.We have given nasal drops ,cough syrup and nebulizer as well.But still he is not recovered.What to do now? And also he sometime does not eat at all and times eat very less.Also want to know can we give rice banana as well in case of cough. Thanks

Yes, you can give rice banana. No harm in it. Your son is having chronic cough (cough for more than 2 weeks).
And it is not improving with routine cough syrups.
So we should definitely rule out lung infection.
So consult pediatrician and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and chest x ray.
He may need antibiotics along with other supportive drugs.
Don't worry, he will be alright.
