What Causes Loss Of Appetite, fatigue And Dizziness During Pregnancy?

I m 38 weeks pregnant and for the past two days have had absolutely no appetite and cannot force myself to eat (though I am consuming fluids) and I have increased fatigue and periodically don t feel like myself including feeling faint/dizzy. Blood pressure has been normal. I woke up this morning with a fever blister so apparently I ran some fever without realizing it. Should I be concerned?

Hello!

Thank you for your question on HCM!

The symptoms you have are very common during this period of pregnacy, but I recommend you to have some tests to exclude other causes like :
- an infection disease ( you refer fever)
- magnesium deficiency
- chronic anemia

I recommend you to perform a routine blood test for anemia and infection , magnesium plasma levels, an urine analysis and a vaginal discharge culture.

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings! Dr. Iliri
