What Causes Loss Of Consciousness?

Last night I woke up 2-3am feeling sick - I went to the bathroom and felt really faint so I went to grab some water and something to eat but it was too much and I fainted in a chair. Few hours before that around 9pm I did go out drinking and I skipped dinner. Was fainting due to not eating or other reasons?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

From the information given,&absence of any other health concern mentioned. It seems you had low glucose levels (hypoglycemia) caused by not eating, that too after alcohol had caused problems.

Still, it is advisable to get a full health check-up done in near future & start taking needful treatment, i.e. if at all there is something wrong.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
