What Causes Loss Of Hearing And Purple Vision In A Child?

My daughter has been experiencing purple vision, nausea, slight loss of hearing and pain in arms and legs. What could this be? She is 15 years old, eats lots of fruit and veg and drinks plenty of fluids. She is doing lots of studying for mock GCSEs at the moment and having later nights.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Concurrent loss of hearing and visual disturbance suggests some hereditary or genetic disorder.
Hereditary or visual disturbance is one of the possibility.
The hearing and visual loss could be two separate problems unrelated to each other.
I suggest you to consult an ENT specialist firstly.
Accumulation of excessive amount of wax in ears is a common cause of ear ache and hearing loss.
In case there is no accumulation of excessive ear wax, complete ear examination and hearing tests need to be done to find out the cause of hearing loss.
Disturbance of vision can be due to refractive error which is common in adolescents.
Refractive error leads to headache, tiredness of eye muscles, watering and redness of eyes.
Thus, you need to consult an ophthalmologist for these problems.
Pain in arms and legs could be due to tiredness and fatigue since your daughter is studying late nights.
Proper sleep and rest should be initiated.
In addition, I also suggest you to get a complete hemogram done to assess the hemoglobin level.
Low hemoglobin level is associated with generalized weakness, tiredness, body aches and fatigue.

Thanks and take care
