What Causes Loss Of Hearing In Left Ear, Vertigo And Dizziness?

I have loss of hearing in my left ear, and sometimes vertigo and dizziness. the dr. has scheduled me for further testing but mentioned that I may have ___________. I'm sorry I know it starts with an "M" sounds a bit like meningitis but that's not it. Any idea - just wanted to look up some information about it. Thanks -

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of loss of hearing in left ear, vertigo, dizziness can be due to causes like like Inner ear infection, Meniere's disease, labyrinthitis, Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, severe motion sickness, Cervical spondylosis, Peripheral Vertigo etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray, MRI SCAN of ear and cervical column, blood tests etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised medical therapy with Betahistine..
In case of infection antibiotics can be advised..
Vestibular rehabilitation can also be advised..
Avoid sudden jerky neck movements and take sufficient rest..
Take Multivitamin supplements..
Limit excess salt intake..
