Hello,
Loss of a word of 2 on rare occasion can be due to memory blocks due to
stress or being in the "heat" of discussion, especially if it's an active sort of dialogue.
If there were an accompanying headache that was severe and caused you to feel nauseous, extremely light or sound sensitive, weak in an arm or leg then, you may have been experiencing what is referred to as a complicated
migraine but it doesn't sound like that's what happened.
If this has happened on a couple of occasions and you say an
MRI in the past was clean then, perhaps the next step would be to consider a neurological examination by a specialist. Document if something were to happen in the future.
Occasional problems with word finding get more frequent with age (you didn't specify yours) but we don't really consider it problematic until it starts interfering with our ability to function at home or at work.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dariush Saghafi, Neurologist
