What Causes Loss Of Memory With Red Yeast Rice?

Hi there, I was wondering if there is any connection between Red Yeast Rice and memory loss. I have been taking RYR for the past 2 years and lately I have noticed a decline in my short term memory. Someone told me tonight that RYR is a statin and it could be affecting my memory.

Hello

Thank you for trusting HCM

Dear red yeast rice has been part of Chinese medicine for centuries. It comes from a fungus that grows on rice and it contains the compounds from which statins were originally derived. In fact, one compound, monocolin K, (known commercially as lovastatin) is a natural form of statin. Its name comes from the red color of the fungus that grows on the rice.

dear no studies support that statin cause memory loss.Research has actually suggested the opposite — that statins may help prevent Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

I think I answered to your question if you have more questions feel free to ask.
