Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Loss Of Sensation In Penis Post OIU For Urethral Stricture?
Sir I have stricture urethra. Underwent OIU in 2014. After a few days relief I m having the same pain. I have lost sensations in my glans. It pains when I hold my penis. Off late I m having pain in my lower abdomen. Frequent urges to urinate but unable to urinate at once. Please help. I m San.
As per my surgical experience, the loss of ability to feel sensations in glans, pain when holding penis, unable to urinate do indicate possible issues with internal urethra and supplying nerve structures as well. In my clinic, after thorough clinical examination, I do recommend nerve conduction study, ascending urethrogram, ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis, diagnostic cystoscopy
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
