The cause of painless voice change or voice loss after consumption of alcohol is likely due to irritation of larynx.
It is commonly known as voice box, and chronic laryngitis is not uncommon in smokers and people who consume alcohol heavily.
The reason for symptoms in your case is likely that alcohol is acting as irritant to the larynx, thus producing symptoms.
It is better to avoid alcohol, or consume it in a very small quantity to avoid the symptoms. In addition, I would suggest you to visit an ENT specialist to get your throat examined.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
