What Causes Loud Heart Beat At Climax Of Sex And Cramping In Legs?

Hello, my question is heart related. I have only experienced this a few times but never closely. Me and my partner were able to hear my heart beat loudly and very fast just as I began to climax and after sex. This startled her as she was able to hear it three feet away. I don't feel dizzy or faint, no tightness of the chest or extemites but this last time I did experience cramping in my legs

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is normal to have increased heart work while involving in sexual or other activity.

I'd suggest to consult a cardiologist and to run some tests:
- ECG
- cardiac echo
- holter monitoring
- ECG stress test

to rule out organic problems of heart.

Otherwise, it nothing to be worried about.

All the best!
Dr.Alba
