What Causes Loud Noise In The Abdomen With Nausea, Diarrhea And Pain After Hernia Surgery?

I had surgery a couple of months ago for a burst appendix and an umbilical hernia. After finishing an opiate prescription certain things have changed. My insides now feel sloshy and feel like they move in my abdomen as I change positions with a loud growling noise traveling down my abdomen in sections as well as nausea, diarrhea, and pain. Could this be something more serious than just the side effects of recovery?

Yes. This can be a serious problem and not just a side effect of a recovery.

All your symptoms can be due to intestinal obstruction due to adhesion/ kinking. This is seen after a burst appendix operation.

The loud growling noise is called borboygmi and occurs only in cases of intestinal obstruction.
Nausea, diarrhea, pain can be due to the same reasons.
I would advise:
Standing X-Ray abdomen is the most convenient investigation to prove or rule out the problem.
You may have to undergo another investigations like enteroclysis to see the obstruction.
You may need a corrective surgery.
